HOW MUCH DO THE LENGTHS VARY ON THESE. WAS INTERESTED IN WHICH ONES CAN BE USED WITHOUT CUTTING THEM DOWN TO FIT UNDER A CAMERO OR GM METRIC. IN PARTICULAR WILL ONES OUT OF A 86 1/2 TON TRUCK WORK.

The last car that we built was the first one that we put the 9" in. It is a metric car. We used one out of a early 70s Torino. It was about 3-4 inches too wide(not sure on exact measurements) Im a firm believer in not having the R.R. stick out past the R.F. Its like trying to turn a tricycle too fast and lifting the L.R. off of the ground. However I do think it would have worked okay for the camaro, since it is a little wider car. I have heard that some pintos, mavericks, and even old cougars have a 9" that is similar to the metrics in width. I do know that old early 70's broncos use a 9" that is VERY narrow as well. Let me no what you find out!!
