OK HEAR GOES BEFORE WHEN I BUILT MY CAR I MADE A CAR INTO A RACE CAR. NOW I HAVE LEARNED ALOT AND AM PLANNING ON BUILDING A RACE CAR AND PUTTING A BODY ON IT. WHAT IS THE BEST CHASSIS TO START WITH I WANT TO COMPLETLY REMOVE THE BODY AND BUILD A ROLLING CHASSIS AND THEN INSTALL A BODY.

I suggest using a full frame car. I personally like the metric frames because they are easier to find and lighter.

GM metric has good parts availabilty, Chris Stotts is building my car and built a couple of cars I've drove in the past. I've won in both of those cars, and they worked very well.

What is a "Metric" frame? What kind of cars have them?

78-88 gm mid size cars.
Monte carlo, gran prix, regal, cutlass.

watch for rust on the rear fame horns and in front of the rear lower conrol arm mounts.

metric chassis is the only way to go we have found that malibu wagon frames are the least likley to have the rusted frame rails and it the exact same frame. if your rules don't allow you to run a 108 in wheel base a 70-73 monte is your best bet they are lighter than the 74-77 and the engine is set back farther also.
