Hey Jammin....maybe you should clear it up for some people. Change the name from "SIMULATED RACING" to " RACING GAMES". Just trying to be constructive here...not be mean.

I am not trying to cause a prob hear, But do you turn of the computer on sat night, then go to closest race track and get dirty?

This is not a site that revolves around the world of gaming. This is a dirt track racing forum. It is all about dirt track racing in all it glory.

I understand what you mean when you say that this particular section is for talking about the game. That is great.

But if there are a few misguided posts in here, so be it.

If all you want to read or talk about is the game dirt track racing, maybe electronic gaming monthly can point you to that site.

Sorry just had to let that one out.

No....i'm not a gamer. I just can't get over how many people don't understand what this catagory means. I'm sure i'm not the only one who gets a laugh out of these people. If you want to talk about REAL racing...there are catagories. I'm just trying to help direct these people. It use to be...several people talking about the "Dirt track racing" game, then it seems ..people started posting about "racing in real life" here. I do have the first "Dirt track racing" game, yes, and i don't mind reading about things here about it and the second game..but i'll have you know, alot of these "gamers"(as you say as an insult)are fellow racers,as well as some who can't afford to race, but love racing. So if you have a question about me or my practices , maybe you should learn to ask, and not ATTACK back at me. Kinda reminds me of all those drunks in the pits after the races, who get all ****ed off, and try to start a fight....that's a great image.

There are many games on the market, two of which are dirt track racing, sprints and even some others now that are pretty decent. I enjoy racing them every once in a while, and I thought these might be a good addition to the forum, since 90 percent of us are drivers anyway. This is specifically for the gaming side of things. There are alot of technical questions concerning, hardware/software and even setups with the game that people can share. That is what these forums are designed for....just to help those who play. Still a technical issue, otherwise I wouldn't have added it.

Long,

Dont get me wrong. I am not a kid anymore and I too have a ps one, super nintendo, nintendo 64, and psx2. However I do not conisder myself a gamer. I have my spells were I might be mistaken as a gamer. But that was before we started building this car.

I love games. I eat it up when I make time.

However, I do not believe you can be a true gamer and a true racer. There is not enough time in the day. If you could do both, where would you get money from? When would you have time to eat or go to the bathroom?

I did not mean that to come off as an attack. I appologize if I have insulted you. I did ask the question, "But do you turn of the computer on sat night, then go to closest race track and get dirty?"

And btw some of the best drivers are those drunks that you refer too.

I am not sure if is the drunk or the redneck in them that makes em want to fight.

That is the way it works.

Sometimes we go to a fight on Sat night and a race might break out.

Yeah, i wasn't trying to sound like a jerk OR a "Gamer". I'm a fan of both, it's usually when you CAN'T go out on a track...you might pick up the game controlers. I just can't understand why from time to time..people(usually newbies) come in this catagory and try to start a thread on "real" racing questions.
