As a man i think its great to have women in racing. I belive that if a man can do it a women should have a chance at it and if your good lookin even beter. i would rather look at a greasy women than a greasy guy anyday.

My wife is my bigest help on my car, shes not very mechanical, but helps where she can, She keeps me organized, handles my driving equipment, installs my tear offs, she checks the fuel, hood pins, at the track she runs my pit area.

When I'm racing a gal, unless I recognize her car, its just another car on the track. She gets the same treatment and respect every other driver does.

Good Luck to all in 2003 and beyond!!

it's pretty simple, women are just like men.as far as i'm conserned,if you work hard to get to where you want to go,then it shouldn't matter if your male,or female.no one should get the easy way for anything.hard work, and patience is what makes true champions.i know of a few in my area that are pretty **** good, and rather they look like a supermodel,or look like a catfish, woman shouldn't be judge on the whats on the outside.

Doesnt matter who, what sex they are,who they are kin to, etc...I have seen alot more men who couldnt drive than I have women...My sister drove street stocks before she got married to a non-racer, she was awesome..won five features @ I-30 in Hobby and C-class(what they called street stock then)...I see alot of guys take it easy on a particular female at your track Hoosierbaby3D...They would put a guy in the wall if they done the things she does...

I know it has been awhile since this post, but I just wanted to let you know that I am not sure just which one you are talking about but I do see, with both of them, there isn't true racing as between man and man or does it seem like the black flag or penalty ever applies to them.
I will say this though, when I start to race down there, which bc of school will be atleast another season now, I want to be treated just like one of the "guys" bc it doesn't make me any more mad than to be treated like a "girl" if you get what I mean!
(If I am big enough to run with the big boys, then I am big enough to bump and bang with the best of 'em)

hoosier_baby_3d I agree with what your saying. Some guy's have a problem with it and some of us don't. For instance when we go out to the super nationals we alway's try to pit with or near Dena Wilson I think for a lady she's a great driver! I'm sorry that didn't sound right For a racer she's a great driver. The way I see it it's not the driver I see on the track it's the car's! Remember DIRT is for racing Aspalt is for getting there!

Hey all! Just thought I would add to your list of women in racing. I started racing last season, and since then my husband has not been able to get me out of the car!! He thinks its great because it is something we do together..We do get a lot of disrespect though, a lot of people in this area think that we are not good enough to race, and we even have our own class but it is before the mens classes begin; BEFORE intermission...Its sad really, we work extra hard, but get less credit. My fourth race last year, the throttle hung, and I hit the guard rail wide open...totalled my car, ended up with a broken finger and a concussion, but the next week, cast and all, I was in a nother car on the track...A lot of people said they didn't know to many men who would actually get right back in a car that soon. I am NOT saying I am any better than anyone, I'm not by a long shot; but even after all of that, we still get that we don't have enoygh guts to deserve the glory...Good luck to all who race and have a great year!!!!!!

I have not probs with a chic in a dirt car. As long as the same rules apply.

There is a gal that races at my home track and she is not competitive. She has prob never finished last, but she usually finishes many laps down.

She just hangs out on the bottom of the track and cruises about 35 mph. She causes a lot of wrecks and gets in the way a lot.

I just don't get it. If I have done this for over a year and am not getting close to the front, I am not going to do it anymore.

odb93, I agree with you 100%. If anyone is out there and getting in the way or causing accidents; especially after a year, then you are right they shouldn't be out there. If I were not doing well, even after finishing 8 races last year, I would not be out there. But, at last weeks race, I lead the first 5 laps, and rolled a tire off of the rim ( the track was very rough, even the ones I was competing with said I had that race...Things happen. But if you are on the track and you never give it gas, then maybe you should rethink what you are doing...I DO NOT mean to offend anyone on here at all, if I have I am truely sorry. Also, women should have the EXACT SAME RULES that apply to the men, because when you are out on the track you are race car drivers, no matter what and everyone needs to be treated equal, whether it be for rough driving or safety...

Ladie,

I am glad you agree. I guess this lady likes doing what she does, but she has caused some probs. Her car looks good and can do well. One night last year her husband drove it and did very well.

She just hangs out on the bottom like she is going to get some groceries on Sunday.

Yes, I seen your reply, that this is for RACING GAMES; but whats the harm in people posting something thats important to them?
I think it is a really good thread, I don't think we are hurting anyone...I enjoy racing, and I think that ladies in racing is great!! As long as they really plan on racing and not goin' to get GROCERIES!!! If you can't run with the big GALS, stay at home, sewin'!!! No, really, some ladies like racing others don't, which ever it is, its their choice; BUT they gotta know to push the pedal to the FLOOR and never let up..OH, and turn left, turn left, turn left!!!!!
Hope you all have a good one!!

At my track we were able to get 30 women on the track and start their own division..They were comfortable not having to compete with guys with testorone imbalances...They put on quite a show and get their "WELL DESERVED" time on the track...

Each catagory has a "Fanatics" sub-catagory..please post talk about REAL racing subjects there, posting this stuff in a GAME catagory....makes it look like you don't even BELONG on a track...if you can't tell the differance in these catagories. I'm not a "Gamer" but it is kinda annoying seeing people keep these treads going..i'm just trying to steer people in the right direction...but..just when you thought it was over..."Here is your sign"...LOL!!!!

You are doing the same thing by keeping this post going...I am new to this board; and if you can POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION, I will gladly go that way..But if all you can do is put us down then more power to anyone who keeps it going!! I AM a race car driver AND I DO belong on the track and in racing. This is in the DIRT TRACK RACING forum, it does not say dirt track racing games on the forum, or believe me I would not have been in here bothering you as we seem to be doing...It just really makes me upset to think that you think we are stupid, because we are keeping one little message board going! Its not right, and if it upsets you that much, WHY do you keep coming back and posting more messages??????I'm sorry it just bothers me to know that I would not make my kids put up with name calling and to have an adult ( I assume ) to be a name caller is down right rediculuos!! Sorry if I spelled that wrong....Anyway, everyone have a good day, and to all the RACERS.. Hope you have a great season on the REAL track!!!!!

"simulated racing"...that is this catagory. It has 2 sub-catagories...Dirt track racing(pc game, and Sprint car racing(also a PC game). There ARE no catagories for "Dirt racing"(REAL life). This board mainly has a catagory(and sub-catagories) for each type of car, track tech, selling items....and so on. I'm not trying to start anything,i'm sorry...i just thoink it's kinda funny how people keep adding to this tread without even reading it all...and maybe understanding it. I'M not trying to be mean spirited....plus, YES i think ladies should get the chance to race also...but honestly, the several the kept posting here, didn't give a very good image..If you don't have a TECH question: say you want to race the hobby class , go into the sub-catagory "Hobby stock fanatics"...the posts don't have to be tech questions..just trying to help.

Above is what it says on my computer screen; no "simulated" anything, anywhere...Thats why I did not get what you were saying..I would like to say that i am sorry for misunderstanding these things; I apologize...Long...I did private message you also. Never meant to offend; but one last thing, until you know someone, you do not know what type of person they are...We may write something meaning one thing, and when you read it you percieve another...Think about it...its not fair to judge anyone..

She was in it to win it on the first race.

well i must say that i have been in racing for 20ish years and have only seen, in person, one women that "should have" been there. most that i have seen look like there on a sunday drive in dads mustang. just because you have the car, doesn't mean that you know how to use it. I think that "most women" lack the aggression to be good at racing! that being said. i did tell an X girlfriend that i was going to marry the first women that could bump door handles and swap paint with me. It almost cost me a ring.
