No names, no tracks names, no bad words, vent here on what you would tell your track what you feel.

Ok...I am gonna hammer this one....I posted this trying to get some of you guys to give me your opinion. Here is mine. Track owners....Get off your behind and make the tracks better. Give 100 percent or sell it. Don't make the racers and fans settle for second best, there is no reason for it. Don't rip your racers or fans. They have done a lot of work to get to your track. Make it worth their trip. If you don't you will end up closing anyway, so do it right the first time.

I think all tracks should pay better and they should keep the tracks in good condition
because one of my local tracks has ruts big enough to hide your car in and everybody is always blowing out tires

Glorify your track. Get good announcers that get people fired up! Have extra play days. Have winter banquets. Make the tracks look nice. Driver introductions. Make each week something special, even if it is just for one class a week. Give people a reason to come back next week and see a different show instead of the same ole thing. I could set here and come up with things all day long. So why can't the owners and promoters? All you really have to have is a real passion for racing......Anyone need a promotor????LOL

The track owner here is just in it for the money. The pits ain't good for nothing but twistin ankles because of the ruts. The track has just as many ruts as the pits. When someone needs to see the rules theres none to be found. The websites always a month behind the real world but there is nothing on it helpful anyway not even rules! they change the rules for who ever bring the best cheering section. This season they raised admission from $15 to $16 claiming to give the drivers more money. I don't think that happend. We went to a track last year to race and it spoiled us. It had pits where you could walk with your eyes closed and not fall down! That track is to far away to go to every friday night.Wanna start a worst track contest because I think I could win it!

D-FW area has already gone to 25.00 pit admission. I look for our local track to follow suit next year. They really don't care if their is anyone in the stands or not as at this rate, we the racers are paying our own purse [for what it is].

Track for the most part is fair, about an 7.5

Pits are about a 7 .

Payout about a 6. average for this area.

Stand admission $9.00

Rule enforcement about a 5.

Flags [rough driving] about a 3.

I know it's been awhile sence anybodies posted here but I sure don't like the new rules changes made at our track to give the racers from another track that went under an unfair advantage against the loyal racers who have supported the track in the past years.I feel they should have to meet our rules, not us be punished to give them a place to race.whats really bad is it ain't just 1 class it is 3.in the words of Earl Pitts "it makes me sick"!!!

You hit it on the head! 100% Correct this applies to a lot of tracks I can think of off the top of my head. As soon as I pull in the gates the rules are changed against me.....j/j It's very much like what you said at several tracks around the south.

I look at just about everything with a business point of view in mind. I have heard people on both sides of the fence. Racers always want more money, and Promoter always want more cars.

If you look at what a promoter has to do to run a good size track as far as expenses are concerned, its quite a bit. Labor, equipment, utilities, advertisement, and driver pay-out.

Sure, they get their revenues from several places like concessions, pit passes, and tickets, BUT if it's a huge money maker, I think we would have more tracks than we have now..

Make a deal with the promoter-- Help reduce expenses as far as the track is concerned, to increase driver payout..?? Remember, to increase spending you MUST increase revenue or reduce costs...

This is what our local track did last season, They had a fan from the stands come down on the front stretch and roll a big dice at intermission, If it came up a 1, then we started straight up, a 2 would invert the front 2 rows and so on. Different, but interesting.

I like the dice idea, I bet the fans like it too. This year instead of giving a Harley to the race winner of thier big LM race, they're giving one to a lucky fan too. You get a chance ticket with admission and one when you buy a 50/50 ticket too. Should help out the point fund a good bit.

our track inverts points and yes it is a good show however it ***** when you are 1st or 2nd in the points and some guy that only comes out a few times a year with an ill handling car wrecks 2 or 3 top runners . just because he starts on the pole every time he shows up. and then there's your yearly sand bagger he uses the first few races as his test and tune. he finishes last the first few weeks and then starts up front for the rest of the year. then not only do you have to navigate the junk that started in front of you you also get to try and run down a very good car that should have started in the back with you.

It has always been stated that the "BEST" short track racing you will ever see comes at tracks where the fastest cars start in the back,in all the races, that way the fans will get the "BEST"show, because the fastest cars will have to "work the traffic"to get to the front, and not get out front and play "hide & seek"!!! Whats your opinion??? some will be happy some will be mad some will be sick Have a good day!!!

I would like track owners and or promotors to know just how much rule changes cost the racer-car owner as several racers have garages full of rule changes.

hey dirttracker98 you,re right its a great show. however the word you used that does not fit is fastest. the most consistant cars start at the back when you invert points. i know this is how it is and how it is going to stay. i think that they should use a rule that would start last weeks winner shotgun on the field. that way the fast cars that sand bagged get a taste of the back.

Now I have to adjust my opinion of our hometown track. I used to call it a little rough, but after reading these comments it now seems smooth as glass. The black flag has come out more last season than in recent years, but they let you get a little rough so long as your not really endangering anyone or obviously bumping on purpose. The facilities are ugly and outdated, but the new ownership has promised to change this. We've just had an increase in A-Main Street Stock (my class) winnings, $10 to start, $20 to finish, $300 to win (I didn't pay much attention to what 2nd & 3rd get). The pit passes have not changed from $20 last year, and if you have purchased a $45 pit membership, the passes are only $15. The rules are also not inforced as they should be, but I have to say now that our track must be above average at the least for a smaller community. Other nearby tracks are either worse or asphalt. I don't think I'll complain as loud as I used to.

The tracks around here have gotten so out of hand that a local racer has taken it upon himself to build a track and hopefully do it right. I hope the others will wake up rather than lay down.
