Do you think there should be racing at intermission? (karts, 4-wheelers, etc)

I personally think karts are a good basis for our sport. They should be included at tracks, where else are we gonna get our future drivers?

I agree but the only problem is the cars make the track so rough it is hard to race a kart on.A bump to a car will leave a kart airborn and that aint fun go into a corner.Just my 2 cents.I really appreciate the way we are allowed to voice our opinion be it right wrong and usally different. Thanks jammin for a great deal here. The forum is great.

Thanks for participating....

Generally, most of the tracks that I have seen allow karts to run in the center of the track on a smaller track, but I have also heard of them running on 1/4 mile too.

I personally would not want intermission racing. I like to go out and walk the track to try to get an idea what changes we may need to make for the feature. Also, other drivers and myself included go up to the fence to talk with the fans, freinds and familys during intermission.

i agree with 14 here is one way it gives you a chance to look over the track we used to have mini late modles(3 1/2 hp nascar replica karts for kids) race on the front shoot they just made a little trck with cones and the kids got there nmae drawn to race the next week it was realy good for the kids so we could still look the track over but now under a new promoter intermission is called the hobby b main lol as for real racing karts like sideways said the track would tear a good kart to pieces

What about having a smaller track for the kids that is off of the main track?

the only problem i have with that is lets say you are on a 1/4 with the pits on the side and kids in the middle it would be realy hard to see karts from a long ways away if they have the karts like we did with the nascar bodies on them that would work becaus ethey had the big numbers on the sides a real kart isn't tall enought to be seen from a distance and still be able to read the lettering and stuff

we have a 10 minute intermission where we let the drivers walk the track and we do the 50/50 drawing and also so the trackcrew (ME) can get something to eat. we also have kids bike races along with truck tug-o-wars, give away t-shirts,and other things to entertain the crowds

I like to use intermission to get a look at the track also. This is not to say that nothing should be happening. It should be an oprrotunity for the track sponsors to get a promotional time in or have a drawing for prizes etc... Sometimes my track uses this time to raffle a ride along in a two seater late model.

I don't know where you guys race, but at my track, intermission should be used to grade the track.
