I personally loved Battleground's racing surface. I race there just because I liked driving on the track, not because I was competetive there. Who's with me? When is this track going to re-open? Just get some good Officials and a good promoter and everyone will flock back.

The track was great I loved having room on the exit of the turns and the transition off was smooth. Even the Wall and Fence felt pritty good a couple of times! LOL! The Stock Cars were fun the just couldn't leave the rule alone. Thats what I love about UMP the rules won't be different from track to track and shouldn't change!(PS: please don't change the rules quick change ect. It always costs more and we loose cars) This is what I believe Killed Battleground. the promoters didn't help. But, the rules kept changing and the favorite guy's had their own rule book somehow it always read different than mine. so one by one we left.
To all of the track owners and sanctioning bodies, Keep the rules the same or clerify a rule to not allow better parts! The guys with the money will always say it save money. But not for all the rest of us.
My 2 Cents.

Yes, I agree, the rule changes made in the middle of the season were very unsettling. But hey, remember they brought Limited Mods out first. It was a hoot riding with someone else after the races, even for 10 bucks. I miss the Crazy cruizers too, they were fun to watch, we were going to build one too! That would have a been a good way to reward my crew for all the stuff they put up with from me over the years, hence no crew now.HEHEHE, Funny how all the purses have gone up in the Houston area since Battleground's closing, which was my primary gripe, although I would still like to see more. Things have changed a lot since I first raced there when Big H went- uhhh whatever they did, not too many of the same racers left, and a lot of new one's I don't know. Hoping to see them open next season, car or no car.
