I have seen them everywhere, but I saw one track with them on the end of the turns once, we were helping someone and it was pretty awesome to watch from there.

At the Boone, Iowa track they have a catwalk that is a great place to watch the race. The catwalk extends out, above and behind the turns. Closest you will get to the action without being in the car.

I agree, I made my first trip to Boone a few weeks ago, and it was pretty cool how the catwalks surround the end of the track, but with someone building normal bleachers, where do you think the best location is?

well this track i race at and most others i have been to have them middle of the back straight... cause the pit area is on the back straight side, behind the bleachers.. one track i have been to even has a tech area shed built under the pit bleachers were the cars roll right off the track and over the scales it is all coverd and theres room for cars side by side for a tear down.... and it is like right there in the open....no funny business going on. everyone can see whats going on...i dont like tracks that have the teck area like way back in the woods. or some remote spot. anywho i think middle of back straight.. although i used to race at a track before it closed battleground speedway were the pits were at the end of turn 1&2 and that waz neet watching cars coming at you then going away. cause you can watch other cars and see what they are doing in the corner. how there rolling, and such..

For qualifying and heats, I stand on "the hill" where the cars go onto the track in turn four. At another track, I stand where the cars come on in turn two. I like to be able to run down to the line up to tell my driver what is going on.

For the feature, where I'm going to be sitting and watching for a while, I like to sit directly across from the flagstand so that I can properly score the race. Both of our normal tracks pit along the back straight.

I prefer the pit stands between 1&2, it's easier to watch suspension movement, and driver line's.
