For anyone interested we will be hosting a chassis seminar Saturday January 27, 2001 in our shop in Kansas City, MO. A social will start at 11 am and the seminar will start at noon and go until about 6PM. This will be conducted in a classroom setting with tables and chairs provided.

It will be conducted by Eddie "the Outlaw" Martin of Stillwell Oklahoma, and Rex Merritt from Bilstein shocks. Racers in the central states will recognize either or both of these racers names and many of the top drivers in the area are already signed up to attend as well. With the teachers and the students, THIS COULD BE THE GREATEST GATHERING OF RACING KNOWLEDGE EVER IN KANSAS CITY or anywhere.

This is a perfect chance for you to learn from the best of the best, these guys are grass roots racers and will help you regardless of the class you run.

We will have some items on display and for sale from some of our local businesses including trailers from Wheeler Trailers, an engine from Yancy's Automotive Machine/Performance Supply, 2-speed muncies and lightened saginaws by Wayne Euper, engine stands and more from Combs Enterprises, and of course some of our goodies as well.

We will also be handing out bags with various catalogs from many of the business friends we have made at the trade shows and thru the years of racing. If you have someting for your business you would like distributed contact me and I'll give you the details.

Cost is $45/person, and includes the social and seminar, with soft drinks provided and coolers welcome. Pre registration is required as space is limited to a first paid basis. You can send a $15 deposit to reserve your spot and pay the balance in January after the holiday to ease teh budget.

For more info see the ad in the Hawkeye, email me or call the shop at 816-231-3268.

Hope to see everyone there, this will be a day of fun and learning.

anyone interested should make checks payable to Mike Van Sickle and mail to
Layne Machine Works
1151 N. Chestnut Trafficway
Kansas City, MO 64120

deposit of $15/person to hold your seat, balance of $30/person due by Jan 10....or you can pay the entire $45/person now.

Price includes seminar and non-alcoholic beverages all day.

Saturday is filling fast (already about 3/4 filled), so if you register tell me if you would be willing to come that sunday the 28th if Saturday is filled (it is Super Bowl Sunday if that makes a difference). Once Saturday is filled, I will call to offer you the Sunday session or return your registration money.

Eddie Martin and Rex Merritt both agreed to teach a duplicate session on sunday if needed, so if there is enough interest and demand we are gonna do it. It will be the same info covered on Saturday, but just allow a new group in.

The guys down here are buzzin'.

We also added two additional vendors, Art's Radiator is sending some parts for display and consignment (they build NICE-NICE alum radiators, purge tanks, and more) and Sharon from It Seams Perfect Custom Racewear in Little Rock will be here as well. She offers custom tailor made fire suits, jackets and team shirts.

Hope to see everyone there.
