I think it is up to the owner if the car was a waste or not.At least they are turning left and not slamming into each other to just destroy each other.aka demo derby.my 2cents

all depense on where you ran and how they are with dirty driving i know alot of them around here are enduro style no yellow just reds for fire of injury tear up alot of stuff thats why i say that also i think part of the reason people like to watch them is because it's something different who wants to go watch 4 classes of the same body style run all nite long

well they have yellows were we race but still there is alot of betting and banging and a realy lot of blocking but there are about 3 fast cars and we leave everyone behind and use 3 race purtey clean but laping the other cars is the problem

so why don't you run it in a hobby of what every you have there we had a guy here like that won ever week just stomped every body had a 81 bonneville with 400 so he ran bombers with it since it was no challange in the cruiser they switched off every other week

This year was my first year racing, and I ran a 74 chevelle malibu. I did some work to the suspension, and build a sweet 455 Buick motor for it. I ran top 5 every night. Here we have yellow flags, and the track treats us pretty well. The dirty driving has tamed down, and its a a very competitive class. Im gonna move up to hobbies next year. I hope its as much fun as cruiser racing!

hey pit if the track i ran at wouldn't have closed down at mid season a few years back i would still be running in cruisers we have another track close to me but like i said it's enduro style and the purse is 2 pit passes and a trophy for first and 1 pit pass for 2nd and thats it. the track we ran was 40 to win 2 trophies and paid down by 5 to each spot down to 10 for tow money not alot i know but it payed for the fuel to get there and in the car i had 100% more fun just in the 10 nites i ran cruiser then the 3 year i have combined in the bombers

New to the Dirt Forum and glad to see a Cruiser section. I run at a track in Ga and we have four or five guys running up front every week but they are the first to help you out if you need something. We run for $100.00 (1st), 50.00 (2nd), 30.00(3rd), 20.00(4th), 20.00(5th). I have a pnoy stock car that I was building until I fell into this cruiser car. I 'm thinking about selling the pony and stick to the big V8's.
