What is the best car for a cruiser ? At our track the gm metric mid size cars are fast but there are acouple impalas that run good. Whats hot your tracks?

at our track the rules say it has to be 112" wheelbase. I think that excludes a lot of metric cars, right? I wish we could use metric here, I would like to build a mid-80's monte carlo.

depending on your rules they are so different from trtack to track but we had alot odf luck with a 76 catalina had a strong 400 in her my buddy also ran the same motor in a 83 olds i think it was an delta 88 not sure but anyway he won **** near every week in it i have an 84 la sabre i'm building now with that 400 in it also look for the ones with v-6s in them ythey usually have a good gear ratio in them

I tell ya what; our track lets us run only 112 wheelbase or larger, and what I got is a 73 chevelle malibu with junkyard springs and a healthy 455 buick, and, the car is sooo easy to drive. We run 60 series imca mod take offs, and have a 510 dollar claim on the complete car less the safety equipment. Its a really fun time. I would highly recommend this car for a cruiser. It has worked out great for me.
