Merchant Dominated over half The Magnolia State Championship and Took the Win

First heat for SUPR started with a battle between Chick Boyd and Tommy Surrett for the lead. Yellow flew when Jay Blair died in turn two. On the restart it was Surrett's Ford leading and taking the win followed by Sam Patricks Ford second. Second heat race Ricky May jumped into the lead on the start. That didn't last long. Marlon Wild in his brand new Ford started in the back and ran three wide to get upfront and wound up in the middle of a three wide battle for the lead with Phil Cooper and Curt Lipsey. Marlon popped out of the middle like a hot dog put of a bun and went on to score te win followed by Curt Lipsey. Third heat James Ward got the lead on the start followed by a side by side battle between Doug Ingols and Rodney Wing. Ward went on to take the win followed by KI Davis who moved up to take second. David Ashley had no problems winning the fourth heat followed by Keith Craft second. Fifth and final heat Kevin Watts jumped into the lead but not for long Kenny Merchant took over the lead and left Kevin to battle with Rodney Sheridan for second. Merchant to the win and Sheridan second. Last Chance race Wing led every lap and took the win. Ryan Plaisance took the win in the second last chance race.
Marlon Wild started on the pole and took the lead on the green followed by Curt Lipsey. Lipsey took over the lead. Kenny Merchant moved into second then followed Lipsey lap after lap when they got into lap traffic Merchant took over the lead. Yellow flew when Chris Wall broke a drive shaft and it flew into the air and sailed over the guard rail in turn four. After the restart James Ward moved into second. At halfway Rodney Wing brought our the yellow when he stopped in turn four. Kenny took the win over James Ward, Curt Lipsey, Marlon Wild, Sam Patrick, Jon Michel, Rob Litton, KI Davis and Kevin Watts
Jared Bailey, Jerry Cassano and Roy Schnebelen all shared heat wins in UMP modified. Bailey started on the pole for the feature but soon fell back into a whole army of cars while Jerry Cassano took the lead followed by Roy Schnebelen. Schnebelen spun in the final laps. Cassano went on to win followed by Doyle Bratton, Tyndale Dean, Jared Bailey, and Dow Hillhouse.
Jason Holland and Randy Jamison took the wins for street stock heats. On the start of the feature Randy Jamison and Cotton Patrick ran wheel to wheel for the lead. Yellow flew when Jason Holland broke an axel and lost a wheel. Jamison got the lead then spun out. Patrick Cotton took over the lead followed by Matthew Simeon. Coming off turn four Simeon running second spun out. Patrick Cotton took the win. Louie Morales second, Mitchel Arnold third, Dean Quave fourth and Randy Jamison had come back up to finish fifth.
Rusty Cooper shared heat win for pure stock with Bo Garig. These two ran nose to tail in the feature. Jacob Brumfield cause a yellow on the start. The only other yellow was Bill Lee when he spun. Rusty Cooper led every lap and went on to score the win followed by Bo Garig, Chad Bush, Scott Womack and David Brown.
Last weeks feature winner Joey Chassion took the super stock heat win. Richard Zeller and Joey Chassion swapped the lead twice. Soon as Chassion took the lead Zeller grabbed it right back again and went on to score the win. Chassion second, Jeff Sheffer third, Dannon LaCoste fourth and Joyce Shelton fifth.
