Deery Brothers in 12th season as title
sponsor for I.M.C.A. Late Model series
VINTON, Iowa (Jan. 17) - The 2003 season marks the 12th consecutive year for the Deery Brothers Automotive Group as title spon-sor of one of the top Late Model racing series in the Midwest.
Fourteen events are on the upcoming schedule of the Deery Brothers Summer Series for I.M.C.A. Sunoco Late Mod-els.
The series opens March 29 at Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City, Iowa, and travels to another nine tracks in Iowa and Illinois before concluding in mid-September.
As title sponsor, Deery Brothers will provide a portion of the point fund to be paid out to the top 10 drivers in final series point standings.
Terry Schlipman of Mendon, Ill., is the defending champion.
"The upcoming series promises to be another exciting one for drivers and fans alike," said I.M.C.A. Marketing Di-rector Kevin Yoder, who also helps with the draw at each tour event. "The support this series gets from Deery Brothers makes that possible. We're looking forward to being part of special events such as the Pepsi USA Nationals at 34 Race-way and the Yankee Dirt Classic at Farley again this year."
The largest auto-motive retailer in the state, Deery Brothers has more than 3,000 cars, trucks and vans at locations around eastern Iowa.
Along with sales of new and pre-driven vehicles, Deery also of-fers service, parts and bodyshops, along with leasing and fleet ar-range-ments.
A total of 238 events have been held since the Late Model series was started in 1987.
