Mooresville NC - (October 17) - Chuck Gafrarar and Richie Wauters of Mooresville NC join forces this weekend at the Memphis (TN) Motorsports Park to compete in the Memphis 125 Hills Bros All Pro NASCAR Touring Series. Gafrarar will make his All Pro debut behind the wheel of the Richie Wauters prepared, Victor Ford Taurus.
Gafrarar is the driver of the ICEHOUSE/Highlands Motorsports NASCAR Goody's Dash Series car #52. He is the current point leader for the 2002 Mag-Clip Rookie of the Year title in the Dash Series with one race remaining.
The Wauters #5 Taurus has recently been driven by the likes of some big NASCAR names including Craftsman Truck competitor Rick Crawford, Busch Grand National standout Johnny Sauter, past BGN champion David Green, and Winston Cup and BGN competitor, Kenny Wallace. In fact, Wallace piloted the Victor Ford to victory in the All Pro race at Bristol in August!
Gafrarar will make his Hills Bros All Pro debut this weekend at a track he ran earlier this season in the Dash car. "I really enjoyed the speedway and look forward to returning in the Victor Ford seat representing our sponsors and RW Motorsports, Inc."
The Victor Ford, with Gafrarar behind the wheel, will carry sponsorship from ICEHOUSE Beer, Travel Club International - A World Wide Membership Group, Victor Ford, JHE Production Group, Inc. of Concord, NC, Five Star Bodies, Punchy Whitaker's Wheels & Tires, Inc. of Concord, NC, and CGR Raceworks Inc, Mooresville NC.
"This was a unique situation," shared Gafrarar. "We pulled together all the sponsors at the last minute when the opportunity was presented to us. The sponsors joined forces to get me in this car and head to Memphis. We really appreciate everyone who came on board for this opportunity along with a special thanks to Bobby Gill Motorsports for supplying the transporter. We have a great group of sponsors who, within days, came on board for us and we hope to get a great finish for all."
Gafrarar is in his 23rd year in motorsports, making a name for himself from the World Karting (WKA) Pro Kart , and the International Kart Federation(IKF) circuits as well as his years working within the Winston Cup world as a fabricator. Gafrarar is a Lancaster. PA native and a Pennsylvania State University Mechanical Engineering graduate. He currently owns CGR Raceworks Inc.
"I have had the opportunity to represent some great people over the years in all phases of business," commeted Gafrarar. "This is a great chance for me to represent several in a combined effort this weekend to bring the Victor Ford to the line in a great finish."
Chuck will get his first track time at Memphis with the first practice for the All Pro Series drivers on Friday, October 18 between 9:00 am to 10:25 am. Qualifying for the Memphis 125 will start at 2:30 pm.
This race is also being taped by Speed Channel for broadcast on December 9.
