Brownell Led Every Lap of the Pure Stock Shoot Out and Took the Win

Matthew Simeon and Garry Talbert took the street stock heat wins. Robert Ringo took the lead on the start of the feature, but it was Matthew Simeon that moved into second then sailed past Ringo into the lead. Simeon's car ran like it was on a rail. Simeon's James Womack engine kicked out the horses and put him in the winners circle once again. Randy Jamison in the final laps caught Ringo and took second and finished in that position. Robert Ringo finished third, Joe Wholgamuth fourth and Garry Talbert fifth.
Doyle Bratton and Roy Schenebelen shared the UMP heats. It was Bratton to the lead on the drop of the green, Schenebelen ran second trying to take the lead lap after lap. Bratton held him off as long as he could till he finally lost the lead to Schenebelen who went on to score the win. Jason Taylor followed Schenebelen and moved into second then spun in turn two. Bratton finished second, third Daniel Boyd, fourth Jeff Martello and fifth Brant Ainsworth.
Ronnie Roberts visiting Pike County for the first time took a heat win along with Michael Taylor. Roberts took the lead on the start of then feature and ran every lap with Michael Ladner inches from him. When the field took the checkered it was the bad boys from Biloxi, Ms. up front with the top three positions. Roberts took the win, Michael Ladner second, Joey Pilgram third, Joey Humphreys fourth, and Joey Chassion fifth.
Rodney Wing, David Ashley and Davin Bates ran three wide for the lead on the start of the Late model feature. Wing popped out of the middle into the lead followed by Bates who spun and earned a trip to the rear. David Ashely ran down Wing and took over the lead and went on to score the win. Richie Cauthen moved through the field and took second from Wing and finished there. Wing took third, Tony Lawson took fourth from Jay Blair and finished in fourth. Blair finished fifth. Wing, Lawson and Cauthen all took heat wins for Late models.
Pure Stock shoot out from outside the front row it was Randy Brownell into the lead. Mark Hardwick worked his way up to third then took second from Chad Bush. Brownell led every lap and went on to score the win followed by Hardwick. These two had 15 car lengths over third place Jason Traux. Justin Bowman started 17th and threaded the needle in and out of traffic , picking off his competition one by one and finished fourth. Chad Bush took fifth.
The first 100 lap of the enduro Chris Clements dominated. Randy Leonard led for a few laps before going in the pits. The next 50 laps they ran turning right. Clements led the rest of the way and took the win. Making that his third Enduro win at Pike. Leonard took second, and Charlie Brown third
