Three I.M.C.A. divisions on Beatrice October Fest card
BEATRICE, Neb. - October Fest at the Beatrice Speedway is headlined by the I.M.C.A.-sanctioned Modified, Stock Car and Hobby Stock divisions.
Modifieds race for $3,000 to win in the Friday-Saturday, Oct. 4-5 special. Top prize for the Stock Cars is $1,500 while the Hobby Stocks take aim at the $750 winner's share.
The 24-car Modified main pays a minimum of $150 to start. Twenty-two cars start the Stock feature, which pays a minimum of $125, while 20 cars make up the grid for the Hobby main. That race pays at least $100 to all starters.
Tow money for drivers competing both days is $100 for Modifieds, $75 for Stocks and $50 for Hobbies.
Gates open at 3 p.m. Friday, with hot laps at 5:30 p.m. and racing at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday, gates open at 2 p.m., hot laps are at 5 p.m. and racing gets underway at 6 p.m.
All I.M.C.A. rules apply and will be enforced. The minimum 2,450 lb. weight rule is in effect for the Modifieds and entry fees for all three divisions are to be paid at the gate.
Rain date is Sunday, Oct. 6.
