Carroll Takes His First Modified win of the 2002 Season

Robert Ringo led every lap of the street stock feature and took the win. Ringo also took the heat win. Gene Brown finished second followed by Shannon Grahm, Jason Wilks and John Griffith.
Darrell Guy took the heat win for pure stock. Jimmy Stephens led every lap of the feature with Guy right behind him lap after lap, but Stephens hung on and took the win. Darrell Guy, Zane Barcelona, Tom Moran and Tracy Talbert finished second through fifth.
Scotty Covington led over half the mini stock feature with Dwayne Everett knocking at his back door lap after lap, finally in turn two Everett gave Covington a tap in the rear left bumper causing him to spin and sit ib the mud off turn two. On the restart Covington was sent to the rear and Everett led the rest of the race and took the checkered. Covington worked his way through the field pickin off his competition one by one and worked his way back to finish second. Third went to Hank Schlinwein, fourth Calvin Tyler ,and Michael Tyler.
Bobby Semple and Ladner took the heat wins for UMP Modified. Darron Carroll led almost every lap of the feature. With each lap Carroll just pulled further away from the field. Roy Schnebelen worked his way to second, but couldn't catch Carroll and had to settle for second. Shane Hebert took third, Billy Collette fourth and Scott Holt finished fifth after falling to the rear and working his way back to fifth.
Kerry Vicknair and Kevin Watts took the heat wins in late model. Watts led every lap and scored the win. Dwight Falcon worked his way up from the rear to finish second. Jason Polite ran a strong third, Kerry Vicknair fourth and rounding out the top five was Phil Cooper.
