Event Details for Magnolia State 100

Columbus, Mississippi-Events details are in place for the 12th running of
the Magnolia State 100 to be held at Columbus Speedway in Columbus,
Mississippi. The 100 lap main event will pay a record $15,000 to win. It has
also been recently announced that there will be a fuel stop at lap 50 to
resupply the lifeblood of many of the alcohol aspirated 700 plus horsepower
engines. Many sponsors have come on board to support to the event with
primary sponsorship being provided by Premier Ford and Pepsi of Columbus.
Associate sponsorship and support from Columbus based NAPA, Fitzner Pontiac,
and Mills-Morris Carquest. Title sponsorship for the Magnolia Modified
Championship portion of the event is being provided by Cliburn Tank Lines of
Starr, Mississippi.

Activities will begin on Thursday night October 4th with an open practice.
Racing action gets underway with Pole Night on October 5th as the top
eighteen cars in the field will be set through Pole Qualifying and six
15-lap qualifying races for the Super Late Models. The Super Late Model Fast
Qualifier will receive $500 courtesy of Rick's Furniture out of Starkville.
The Open Wheel Modifieds will also run qualifying events. Local divisions
will be in action with main events each night. The event will culminate on
Saturday night October 6th with three B-Main events for the Super Late
Models and Modified Last Chance Qualifiers to fill in the remainder of the
24-car fields along with the highly anticipated $15,000 to win Magnolia
State 100 plus all other main events. Racing action is slated to get
underway at 7:30pm on Saturday evening.
