RAIN MOVES WILLIAMS GROVE TRIPLE 20'S TO SEPTEMBER 14
Severe thunderstorms washed out the Jack Gunn Memorial Triple 20's for
sprint cars Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway
This event, which carries a total purse of nearly $40,000, has been reset
for Friday night, September 14.
The program originally scheduled for September 14, a sprint/sportsman
double header, has been canceled.
Sprint car racing will return to Williams Grove on Friday night, September
14, with the running of the Jack Gunn Memorial Triple 20's.
On Friday night, September 21, the sprint cars will be joined by the
limited (358) sprints. The 358's will compete in a championship event on
September 21. The Pennzoil World of Outlaws return on September 28-29 to
sanction the National Open.
Williams Grove will be dark the weekend following the National Open, but
one more date remains on the 2001 schedule. The Fall Fest, a features only
program for sprint cars, limited (358) sprints, super sportsman cars and
limited late models, will end the season on October
