Pannell Takes Coors 100 at Eastside
Waynesboro, VA – Wayne Pannell took the pole and led from flag to flag to sweep the nights Late Model activities. Pannell of Stuarts Draft nailed down the Coors 100 main event victory being only headed by Mark Cook during the long race.
Others in the top five included Mark Brown, Garland Faulconer and Petie Coffey.
Over in the Sportsman ranks, Jason Balsamo made it two in a row for the Waynesboro driver taking his fourth checkers of the season. Rounding out the top five were Stuart Weaver, Tony Johnson, Roger Spencer and Tommy Hoy.
Other winners on the night included Chad Click in Street Stock, Christian Looney in Mini-Modified, Glen Haladane in Grocery Getter and Chip Glass earning his 7th win in the Mini-Stocks.
Next weeks schedule finds the stock cars off for the week, with the following schedule to include a normal weekly program of racing. Gates open at 5 p.m. and racing will start at 7:30 p.m.
