Hilton Hardwick and Bo Garig shared the heat wins for pure stock.
Zane Barcelona ran wheel to wheel with Bo Garig to turn two where Barcelona
moved into the lead. AS the field was coming for the white flag Rodney
Ravencraft spun off four and landed on top the go kart track. Barcelona took
the win followed by Bo Garig, Darrell Guy ,Tim Moran and Mark Tate.
Jerry Cassano and James Ward took top honors in the Modified heats.
After one bad start Dale Aucoin who was on the pole was sent to the second
row while Billy Collette went to the pole. On the second start in turn one
Chris Cassano had lost water all the way down the front straightaway and shut
off his car and retired to the pits. Now on the third start it was Collett
with the lead, but not for long James Ward moved into the lead. Jerry Cassano
moved into third and battled with Collette for second till he finally
captured the spot. Ward went on to win followed by Cassano, Collette, Curtis
Vicknair and Dale Aucoin.
Robert Ringo and Scooter Paetz took the heat wins for street stock.
Paetz got the lead on the start. Yellow flew when Don Bolton and Gary Talbert
tied up in two. Gene Brown in his new car moved into second but couldn't
close in on Paetz. When Paetz took the checkered he blew up in a huge cloud
of blue smoke. Gene Brown second, Randy Jamison third, Shannon Graham fourth
and Bobby Tate fifth.
Scotty Covington took all the wins in mini stock heat and feature. On the
start they ran three wide under the flag stand Covington, Richard Mathes and
Wesley LaFleur. Covington got the lead and held it till the checkered and
scored another win. Wesley LaFleur took second, Wayne Everette third, Mike
Tyler fourth and Donna Everett fifth.
Kevin Watts and David Ashley shared the late model heat wins. Ashley got
the lead first then Watts got under Ashley and they ran lug but to lug nut
till Watts pulled into the lead. Third place Ryan Plaisance on the back
straightaway got under Ashley trying to get second. They made contact and
Ashley had to retire to the pits. While David Knight was running fifth
something happened to his car and he fell off the pace. Watts won by a whole
straightaway over Ryan Plaisance, Kennith Crowe, Sam Patrick, and Jason
Polite.
Alex Ashley took the heat win for yard karts and Ravencraft took the
