RAIN WINS OUT SATURDAY AUGUST 18TH BUT EWSC RACING FANS TO WIN NEXT WEEKEND WITH THE INTIMIDATOR

The rains came shortly after the pit gates were opened for the IRA/ EWSC races scheduled for August the 18th, causing the races at the Sheboygan County Fair Park to be cancelled. The next race scheduled for Saturday August 25th, sponsored by WCUB Radio, Manitowoc, at the Sheboygan County Fair Park, Plymouth will be headlined by EWSC's open wheeled class, Winged Super Modifieds. The championship is just 4 races away which is sure to bring about plenty of close action packed racing in all four of EWSC's divisions.

The Winged Super Modifieds, chase in the Miller Lite Series Point standings is close, and the Limited Late Models, have less than 50 points separating the top 5 positions in the standings. It's anyone's guess as to who will be able to squeak out the championship, one things for sure the champion will not run away with the title, it's going to come down to the final checkered flag. The Super Stocks are in a close battle also, last years champion, Brian Gilles has to be feeling the heat of the competition, and the ever so popular new class for EWSC this season the Mighty 4's continue to be fan favorites. These drivers are having a great time, and more new cars continue to show up at the track each week. Who will be the first Mighty 4 Champion is anybody's guess, but my guess is we will see these drivers racing at Plymouth for years to come.

This Saturday in addition to the full EWSC race program, EWSC will pay tribute to Dale Earnhardt. There will be
free drawings for Dale Earnhardt Racing memorabilia for kids and adults. Fans are asked to wear there favorite Dale Earnhardt racing apparel, plus EWSC is hosting it's 3rd annual classic car display. This year the cars will be taking a parade lap on the racetrack during intermission. Fans will want to see the special Dale and Dale Jr., Monte Carlo, one side of the car is a replica of Jr's red car, the other side is a replica of Dale Sr's, black number 3 Monte Carlo, fans will also want to see this years EWSC Sheboygan Chevrolet, Limited Edition, Monte Carlo Pace Car tribute to the Intimidator that has paced every feature this season. The evenings program is sponsored by WCUB Radio, Manitowoc, and they will be giving away a bike to one lucky little race fan. Next Sunday, September 2nd the full EWSC race program will travel to the Manitowoc County Expo, as there will be no racing at the Sheboygan County Fair Park next weekend. The grandstand opens at 5:00 PM, timing starts at 5:45 with racing to follow. Adult admission is $8.00, teens $6.00, kids 7 -12 $3.00, and kids 6 and under are admitted free with adults.
