Jerry Cassano tops 25 car field of Modified to score the Win

Bill Lee jumped into the lead in the B main for Novice and led every
lap to score his first win of the season. Ryan Williams tried to chase Lee
down, but was unable to and had to settle for second. Robert Petit after
taking a week off for vacation broke speed limits to get back here in time to
race tonight and finished third, Stephen Polk was fourth and Joel Brown fifth.
Mike Carter led every lap of the A main, But when he went to tech was
Dqed, Mark Tate ran second but was also Dqed. Third place Tudy Jackson then
became the winner. David Johnson took second. Darrel Guy third and Jerry
Arnold who started 15th finished fourth. Charles Womack made up the top five.
Mark Carter, Mark Tate, and Dean Quave took heat wins.
UMP Modified were divided into three heats. Ken Holliday, Brant
Ainsworth and Davin Bates took the heat wins. Holliday took the lead on the
start, but not for long Cassano worked on him till he got the lead and led
the rest of the way to take the win. Billy Collette ran second till he broke
and went in. Brant Ainsworth took over second. Davin Bates moved into third
followed by Randy Leonard and Jason Taylor.
Ryan Whitehead heat winner for pure stock. Jamie Blades took the lead on
the start followed by Whitehead till Blades lost it in four and several cars
bounced off him. On the restart Whitehead took over as leader. And led the
rest of the race and scored the win. Mark Hardwick ran second till he spun on
the last lap. Randy Brownell took second, Rusty Cooper started 16th and
finished third, Tudy Jackson fourth and rounding out the top five was Billy
McDaniels.
Jamie McClendon and Scooter Paetz took the heat wins for street stock.
Kerry Vicknair sat on the pole for the street stock feature and pulled into
the lead on the start. Paetz battled with Case for second. Scotty Case took
over second. McClendon took third over leaving Paetz fourth and Tommy Cannon
fifth.
Tim Thornton and Billy Gordon took super stock heat wins. Rodney
Sheridan led the first few laps of the feature till Billy Gordon took over
the lead from Sheridan. A three wide battled raged behind the leader between
Donald Collins, Sheridan and David Knight in the enterprise Journal car.
Gordon took the win. Donald Collins passed Knight and took over second.
Knight finished third, Sheridan fourth and Robert Morel fifth.
Eric Courville and Sam Patrick took the late model heat wins.
Sam Patrick took the lead on the start. Curt Lipsey reeled him in and took
over the lead and went on to score the win followed by Patrick and a
straightaway back was Courville in third, Chris Wall in fourth and Seavy
Clemons fifth.
