JOE KOSISKI CLAIMS HIS FIRST VICTORY ON A WILD NIGHT OF RACING AT NEBRASKA
RACEWAY PARK

July 2, 2001 - Greenwood, Neb. - Joe Kosiski was leading the points in the
Super Late Model division at Nebraska Raceway Park without a single win on
the 2001 racing season. Now he has the lead in points and his first
victory. On a night that was slowed by uncharacteristic accidents and
delays, Kosiski provided one of many highlights throughout the evening.

Kosiski finished ahead of last week's winner Donnie McClellan, using lapped
traffic to make a pass for the lead with two laps to go. "It all just fell
in place for me," Kosiski said about his victory. McClellan finished in
second with Al Humphrey finishing third.

The race was delayed due to a three-car incident on the first lap involving
Dale Zeitner, Howard Koziol and Al Zeitner. Though the three cars suffered
serious damage, none of the drivers did. Al Zeitner walked away from his
car under his own power, and both Dale Zeitner and Koziol were released from
area hospitals Sunday night after being checked out for precautionary
reasons.

In the Jasper Engines and Transmissions A feature, Don Chase took home the
victory ahead of David Christensen and Travis Alley. Chase drove to victory
after the race was red-flagged when two cars rolled on the front stretch.
Todd Bell and Jimmy Nichols both walked away from their cars under their own
power and without injury, though their cars came to a stop on their roofs.

The O'Reilly Auto Parts Pro-Am A feature also provided some anxious moments.
Before Larry Robinson Jr. could claim victory, he had to make it through the
field. The race was yellow-flagged when a car's engine expired causing it
to stop on the track. Then the race was stopped when two cars collided in
turn one.

"The fact that none of our drivers were seriously injured in any of the
accidents tonight speaks volumes about the safety measures taken by Nebraska
Raceway Park and NASCAR," said track General Manager Craig Kelley. "Plus,
our safety and fire crew are the best in the business, and we take great
pride in that."

During intermission, fans were treated to a huge fireworks display.
However, due to the number of accidents and unavoidable delays in the race
program, the night was called after the Pro-Am A feature.

The re-scheduled Walker Uniform Rental Grand National A Feature and second
Super Late Model A feature run this Sunday, July 8 with the regularly
scheduled NASCAR Weekly Racing Series program. Fans will be thrilled to hot
racing action in four divisions all night long. Plus, fans will receive $2
off adult admission when they present their July 1 ticket stub at the ticket
booth. Front gates open at 4:30 p.m. with racing at 6:00 p.m.. Call (402)
