LAYTON MAKES IT FOUR IN-A-ROW IN 358 SPRINT ACTION
Harrisburg's Chad Layton continued his winning ways in 358 sprint action at
Selinsgrove Speedway as he recorded his fourth win in-a-row in the 25 lap
feature Saturday night.
Five-time winner TJ Stutts challenged Layton for the lead but Layton over
powered him and stretched his lead to more than a straightaway in posting
the win over Stutts, Darrell Stimeling, Bob Camilli and Babe Mader for his
sixth Selinsgrove win of 2001.
Chris Shuey of Orefield powered to his first win of the season at
Selinsgrove in the Third Annual Late Model Open. Shuey became the division's
seventh different winner when he took the checkered flag in the 30-lap
championship event and earned $1,600 for the win.
Donnie Murphy of Minersville was the winner of the 12-lap Pro Stock main
event for the second time this season.
