SCHATZ BEATS DOLLANSKY, STORMS TO WIN TOPEKA FINALE
Donny Schatz passed Craig Dollansky near the half-way point in the 35 lap
Pennzoil World of Outlaws A-main at Heartland Park Topeka Saturday night and
held on to pick up the $12,000 victory as lightning from the severe
thunderstorms that surrounded the speedway provided the victory lane
backdrop.
"The way the track was tonight, you just had to be patient and not make any
mistakes," said Schatz. "My car was perfect tonight...Kenny Woodruff and the
whole crew did a great job for me, and these guys did an awesome job
building this track in such a short amount of time."
"I'm glad they decided to build this place, because I really struggled over
there (on the dragstrip)."
Craig Dollansky finished in the runner-up spot for the second night
in-a-row, with Steve Kinser finishing third
