LARRY THOMNPSON (STREETS), BJ MACDONALD (MIDGETS) AND
ED JAEGER (DEMO) ARE WALL STADIUM WINNERS SUNDAY NIGHT

WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. ~ The threatening skies and rainy weather that has
haunted auto racers in the area for two weekends cleared on Sunday and Wall
Stadium took advantage of the clear skies to present the second Demolition
Derby of the season along with Street Stock and Three-Quarter Midget racing.

Bill Vanderveen was the first leader of the double-point 25-lapper for
the Garage Door Express Street Stocks, while defending track champion Larry
Thompson of Parlin was wrestling his way through the 26-car field. Thompson
arrived in the runner-up spot with ten laps completed and soon a side-by-side
battle was on for the lead and the win.

The heated racing continued for eight circuits around the third mile high
banked oval before Vanderveen spun exiting the fourth turn and Thompson raced
out into the lead. The close racing was far from over, however, as
Farmingdale's John McCormack was in the runner-up spot and stayed right with
Thompson to the checker flag. Tom Healy, Mike Brennan and Anthony Crimaldi
completed the top five.

BJ MacDonald led almost every laps of the companion 25-lapper for the
Neptune Research Three-Quarter Midgets before winning the contest by just
feet over teammate Tim Adams. Adams, who had spun on the initial start,
rocketed from the rear of the 16-car field to cross the finish line just feet
behind MacDonald. Mike Tidaback was third at the stripe, while Bobby Watkins
and early leader Don Zrinski were fourth and fifth.

Ed Jaeger of High Bridge was the winner of the "Championship Demolition
Derby," his second straight this season.

The shore speedway features the Street Stocks in a double point 50-lapper
this Saturday night (June 9). The Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Trucks and Legend
Cars will also see action on Surfside Collision Night.

Wall Stadium is located on Rt. 34 in Wall Township, N.J. just a mile north of
Garden State Parkway Exit 98 and Interstate 195 Exit 35B. The speedway
hotline is 732-681-6400 and the internet address is www.wallstadium.com.
