National Modified Series headed next to Hartford, Michigan
HARTFORD, Mich. (June 4) - Hartford Speedway Park is set to host the fifth stop on the I.M.C.A. National Modified Series schedule Friday night, June 8.
Pit gates open at 5 p.m. The first heat on the half-mile, high-banked clay track is set for 8 p.m.
Winner of the Hartford event goes home with $1,000. More information is available by calling (616) 621-4482.
The date at Hartford is the fifth on the series schedule and the first in Michigan. The 20 remaining National Modified Series events also include a two-day show Friday and Saturday, Sept. 14-15 at Crystal Motor Speedway.
Gregg Buker of North Platte, Neb., is the current series points leader.
Drivers' 10 best finishes will be used in compiling point standings. The series champion earns $2,000 and a total of $10,000 will be paid to the top 20 drivers in the final standings.
Friesen Series schedules June 16 race at Elmwood Park Speedway
NORTON, Kan. (June 4) - Another trip to Kansas is on the schedule for I.M.C.A. Sunoco Late Model drivers following the Friesen Chevrolet Challenge Series.
The tour travels to Elmwood Park Speedway at Norton on Saturday, June 16. With the rainout and postponement of the race originally scheduled June 3 at Belleville High Banks, the date at Elmwood Park is now the first ever for the series outside Nebraska.
Pit gates open at 4 p.m. at Norton, with hot laps at 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m
