KAUFFMAN PICKS UP THIRD PORT WIN OF YEAR
Mifflintown's Keith Kauffman took advantage of his teammate Todd Hestor's
miscue with 11 laps to go to speed to his third Port Royal Speedway win of
the season on Saturday night in the 25 lap super sprint feature. Kauffman's
win, his track-leading 103rd career win at the Juniata County racing
facilty, also added to his point lead over Todd Shaffer in the season-long
standings. Lance Dewease finished second, and was followed by Todd Shaffer,
Hestor, and Alan Cole at the checkered.
"Anytime I stand up here, its always good," noted the veteran from victory
lane. "I got a good hole at the start and there are a lot of good cars here
and anytime you get a hole like that, it helps out!"
Kenny Dickson continued his winning ways picking up his sixth win of the
season, and his fourth in-a-row, in the 20 lap late model feature.
Tim Krape picked up his first win of the year in winning the rain-shortened
pro stock feature.
