Collins Turns Pike's Oval Ford Blue 2 Weeks in a Row
Novice B main started with Larry Disotell on the pole. Disotell pulled
into the lead with Williams on his bumper trying to get the lead. Williams
took over the lead, but not for long when Zane Barcelona took it over. First
yellow flew when Disotell and Williams tied up in two. Zane Barcelona went on
to Take the win by several car lengths over Tudy Jackson, Larry Disotell,
Zach Stewert and Glen Hunt.
Novice A main Austin Butler took the lead,, but didn't keep it long when
Mark Hardwick took it over. Hardwick held it all the way to the checkered and
scored the win followed by Austin Butler, Terry Lee,Shawn Barber and Stephen
Polk. Heat winners were Hardwick and Shawn Barber.
Davin Bates and Gregg Hollingsworth shared the UMP heat wins.
Hollingsworth took the lead on the start. Bates moved into second and worked
on Hollingsworth. These two really put on a show. Bates tried the low side
and the high side lap after lap. But Hollingsworth held him off and scored
the win. Bates took second. Scott Holt who started last worked his way
through the field to finish third. Chad Boyd ran a strong fourth and Doyle
Bratton rounded out the top five.
Jimmy Stephens put the Aimes Automotive, Napa car in the winner circle
twice once for the heat and once for the feature. Stephens held off Randy
Brownell lap after lap till the final 2 laps when Brownell got under him and
they ran wheel to wheel as the white flag waved Stephens got back in the lead
and took the win infront of Brownell, Justin Bowman, Rusty Cooper and Kevin
Jason Holland also took both heat and feature wins in the street stock.
On the drop of the green Holland Blasted into the lead. Jamie Hamilton ran
second till Matthew Simeon took over second, then Kerry Vicknair moved to
third. Hamilton took fourth and Scotty Case took fifth.
Donald Collins and Robert Morel shared the heat wins for super stock. On
the start Robert Morel took the lead followed by Charles Sibley and Donald
Collins. Collins got under Sibley and took the spot. Collins tried to get by
Morel then finally off four he tried high then sling shot down under and made
the pass for the lead. In turn four next lap Morel went in Hard and connected
with Collins and they both spun. Morel was sent to the rear and Collins back
to the lead on the restart. Collins went on to win second week in a row
followed by Billy Gordon, Eddie Kerry, Robert who had worked his way back to
fourth and fifth went to Tim Thornton.
Rob Litton and Sam Patrick took the Late Model heat wins. Litton jumped
into the lead on the start followed by a wheel to wheel battle between Jay
Blair and Sam Patrick. Blair moved into second. Yellow flew with 5 car pile
up in four.IOn the restart it was Litton and Blair again not long and a 5 car
pile up in one brought the yellow out again. Litton went on to get the win a
whole straightaway over Blair. David Knight took third, Dennis Duncan fourth
and Sam Patrick fifth.
Pure stock powderpuff Carolyn Dean started on the pole. Jennifer Lee
found that gas pedal and blasted into the lead and then stretched it out to
almost a straightaway. Carloyn Dean took second, 103 third, Rose Lee fourth
and Kathy Reedy fifth.
