Tim Busha Takes GVS Super Late Model Win!
Glencoe, AL-Tim Busha of Boaz, Alabama picked up the Kilpatrick Chevrolet
win after early leaders Greg Skinner and Mark Bangs dropped out of
competition after staging a fierce battle for the point. The young Boaz
Super Late Model pilot Tim "The Boaz Bullett" Busha was followed across the
finish line by Cedartown, GA's Zack Nichols, Oxford's Jimmy Hiett, Kelly
Hanvey, and Bucket Stewart in the 25 lap main event.
The Alabama Driver's Academy Quick Six Dash for Cash was won by Busha as
well with Mark Bangs second and Jon Miller third.
The best race of the evening occurred in Vinson Race Engines Sportsman
Division with Gadsden's Kevin Tallant taking a hard fought win. The 20-lap
event would culminate with a three wide battle for the lead the last two
laps between Tallant, Chad Smith, and Dwayne Bickerstaff. The top five at
the finish line were Tallant, Rome's Chad Smith, Dwayne Bickerstaff, Dennis
Collins, and Greg Noah.
The Gulf Coast Region Weese Precision IMCA Modifieds saw Jamie Gowers take
the win followed by Ryan Tolleson, Scottie Gowers, Kevin Waddell, and Foster
The Mountain View Ice Super Stock win was claimed by Tim Bannister, followed
by Greg Chumley, Eric Layfield, Dwayne Quick, and Tony Fleming. The Heavy
Metal Bomber division was won once again by Rome, Georgia driver Jason Hamby
with Jeff Crane in tow followed by Jerry Greer, Jodie Free, and Wayne
The Pony Stock feature victory went to Brian Dodgen with Kevin McClellan in
second, Chip Battles, Bobby Bartlett, and Manual Morgan completing the top
five. The Pure Pony Main was won by Josh Battles with Steve Gillian, Mark
Alexander, Todd Bennich, and Josh Morgan in fifth.
Green Valley Speedway will have a Full Racing Program next Friday night. The
next special event at GVS will be on Friday Night May 25th with a big
