When race leader Joe Reneker was forced to the pits under caution with a flat tire on the final lap, Herr made the most of his opportunity to go from third to first on the final thrilling lap. "I figured Perigo would try to hold Hager back on the bottom, so that is why I figured the top would be open," Herr said in victory lane. "When (Reneker) got the flat, I thought 'we could win this baby.' I knew the top was going to be wide open and we were pretty good up there." Herr drove right to the cushion in turns three and four on the restart and took second from Hager before the flagstand. Herr would then pass Perigo on the cushion in turns one and two for the lead and the win. Perigo beat Hager by inches for second. Beaver and Cannon completed the top five. Defending late model champion Jason Covert of Middletown passed Scott McCann on the outside of turn four coming for the checkered flag to win the 20-lap late model feature. Defending street stock champion Scott Dellinger and Tim Fedder battled for the lead throughout the final 10 laps of the 20-lap event with the leaders making contact exiting turn four on the final lap as Dellinger used to low side of the speedway to take the win the feature over Fedder.
