I.M.C.A.'s Late Model point season opens April 27
VINTON, Iowa (April 26) - The 2001 point season for I.M.C.A. Sunoco Late Models opens on Friday night, April 27.
Drivers will compete for national and local track points through Sunday, Aug. 26.
Sanctioned Late Models will be fea-tured at the fol-lowing tracks this season:
34 Raceway, West Bur-lington, Iowa; Bureau County Speedway, Prince-ton, Ill.; Davenport, Iowa, Speedway; East Moline, Ill., Speedway; Hamilton County Speedway, Webster City, Iowa; Independence, Iowa, Motor Speedway; Iowa State Fairgrounds Speedway, Des Moines; Jackson County Speedway, Maquoketa, Iowa; Joplin 66 Speedway, Joplin, Mo.; Lee County Speedway, Don-nellson, Iowa; Monett, Mo., Speedway; Muskogee, Okla., Speedway; and Quincy, Ill., Raceway.
Drivers will also earn national points at events in the Frie-sen Chevrolet Challenge Series, promoted by the Central Nebraska Circle Track Association.
Those races are sched-uled at Belleville High Banks, Belleville, Kan.; and in Nebraska at Beatrice Speedway, Boone County Speedway, Albion, Butler County Speedway, Rising City, McCook Speedway, McCook, Thayer County Speed-way, Deshler, The Speedbowl in Red Cloud, and at US 30 Speedway, Columbus.
