2001 COORS LIGHT/NAPA AUTO PARTS RACING SERIES TO KICK OFF
AT WALL STADIUM THIS SATURDAY NIGHT (APRIL 7)

WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. ~ With the cold winter months for the most part just a
memory, auto racing competitors and enthusiasts will be shaking off cabin
fever this Saturday evening (April 2) at 7:00 p.m. as Wall Stadium opens its
52nd consecutive season of stock car racing. Nearly $60,000 is being offered
as a reward in the yearlong point race.

The season opener of the 2001 NAPA Auto Parts/Coors Light Racing Series
will see the Neptune Research and Development Modifieds compete in a 30-lap
main event, while the NGK Spark Plugs Pro Stocks will battle in a 25-lapper,
the Garage Door Express Street Stocks compete in a 20-lap feature race and
the Monmouth Truck Equipment Truck Series racers battle in a 15-lap main
event. Also on the card will be the popular Weiss' Boots and Apparel Legend
Cars in a 20-lapper. A full slate of qualifying races will determine main
event starting fields.

The Modified competitors offer a large field of potential winners
including
defending champ Dave Michel of Manahawkin, Dan McLaughlin, Jr. and Tim Arre,
both of Toms River, racing brothers Jimmy and John Blewett III, both of
Howell, and the ageless Charlie Kremer, Jr. of Toms River, just to name a few.

In the Pro Stock ranks, defending champ Rob Williams of Farmingdale will
lead a strong field into action, while the Street Stocks offer plenty of
winning candidates chasing after the crown. The races for the titles in the
Truck Series and Legend Cars divisions should be tight with Marlboro's Tim
Buckley
leading the pick-ups and Pennsylvania's Tim Henry in front of the Legends.

Once the season opener is in the record books, pro auto racing will
continue at Wall Stadium every Saturday night through September. Wall Stadium
is located on Rt. 34 in Wall Township, N.J. just a mile north of Garden State
Parkway Exit 98 and Interstate 195 Exit 35B. The speedway hotline is
732-681-6400 and the internet address is www.wallstadium.com.

PREDICTIONS OF LARGE MODIFIED FIELD FAST BECOMING REALITY
AT WALL STADIUM FOR THIS SATURDAY NIGHT'S (APRIL 7) OPENER

WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. ~ Off-season predictions of large Neptune Research
Modified car counts at Wall Stadium for the 2001 season seem to be on target,
judging by the recently completed pre-season testing and advance driver
registrations. Surely, the nearly $60,000 being offered as a reward in the
year-long NAPA Auto Parts/Coors Light Racing Series point fund has something
to do with it.

The Modified competitors will be chasing defending champ Dave Michel of
Manahawkin, who pocketed nearly $6,000 for last season's title at January's
awards dinner. Racing brothers Jimmy and John Blewett, III, both of Howell,
Dan McLaughlin, Jr., Tim Arre and the ageless Charlie Kremer, Jr., all of
Toms River, are also potential contenders. Farmingdale's Steve Whitt and
Tommy Farrell have also shown in the past that they know the fast route to
the front of the pack. Former Champ Mike Carpenter of Brick and 2000 Rookie
of the Year Curtis Truex, jr. are also ready to break through.
