Davin Bates Takes UMP Win

Austin Butler, Scott Womack, and Lefty Cockran all shared heat wins for
Novice. On the start of the feature Juban from the pole jumped into the lead.
Bill Hebert ran second followed by Jerry Arnold fighting for second while
Juban got away. Joe Carboni took the win followed by Bill Hebert, Jerry
Arnold, Tootie Jackson and Jim Johnson.
Novice A main , on the start a three wide battle raged for the lead
between Scott Womack, Mark Hardwick, and Butch Justin. Justin blasts up the
middle to the lead. A car in the guard rail caused a complete restart with
Hardwick on the pole. Scott Womack marched right into the lead and led from
this point on and took the win over Butch Jenkins, Shane Barber, Mark
Hardwick and Heath Cowart.
Rusty Cooper took the heat win for pure stock and started on the pole
for the feature. On the start Cooper found himself in a three wide battle for
the lead with Michael Barfield and Jamie Blades. The it dropped to a side by
side battle with Barfield. Barfield got the lead followed lap after lap by
Jamie Blades. When the checkered fell it was Barfield, Blades, Jimmy
Stephens, Rusty Cooper and Chad Coon.
Rueben Allred started on the pole for the street stock feature, but it
was Todd Rogers from the high side that jumped into the lead. Rogers led
till the final laps when again he blew up in a cloud of blue smoke. Mather
Simeon went on to take the win. He had his hands full with Kerry Vicknair but
was able to hold him off till the last lap when off turn four Vicknair got
under him and they crossed the line side by side. Simeon got the win by a
whisker over Vicknair. Ricky Brice was third, fourth Reuben Allred and fifth
Davin Bates blasted into the lead of the UMP feature and never looked
back he just stretched his lead over second place Dow Hillhouse. Greg Freeman
worked his way to third. Brandon Buhler and Gary Revere rounded out the top
five. Bates and Hillhouse took the heat wins.
Billy Gordon and Chris Lenoir took heat wins for super stock. Gordon
took the lead on the start. Robert Morel worked his way to second then worked
on Gordon for the lead. Morel took over the lead till turn four coming for
the checkered Gordon drove over the nose of Morels car when he was sideways.
Joey Humphreys got the win followed by Johnny Breeland, Glen Stanga, Robert
Morel and Billy Gordon,
David Ashley and Sam Patrick shared the late model heat wins. On the
start of the 20 lap feature Patrick wasted no time getting the lead. Patrick
lead lap after lap with David Ashley breathing down his back. At times
Patrick could get a couple cars lengths away then Ashley would close in. With
a lap to go they were in lap traffic. While in that lap traffic Ashley
slipped by and took the checkered. Patrick took second, Ricky May third,
Davin Bates fourth and Raymond Taylor fifth
