Lane Whittington Scores Cajun Sprinter Win

Kelly Angelette took the lead and win in heat one over Michael
Herrington. Heat 2 winner was Lane Whittington over Glynn LaBlanc. Heat three
was Butch David over Michael DuPuy.
Charles Womack and Austin Butler took the heat wins for Novice. On the
start of the race it was Charles Womack followed by Scott Womack and Austin
Butler. Scott and Charles ran wheel to wheel for the lead Scott got the lead
and took the win over Austin Butler, Charles Womack, Jonathan Williams, and
Lee Roy Callender. The race was caution free.
On the start of the modified Gregg Hollingsworth took the early lead.
Greg Freeman ran second and Jason Taylor running third got crossed up and
Jerry Cassano also got tangled in it. On the restart Jason Taylor got into
the wall at the end of the straightaway at the same time Chad Williams got
into the wall out of four causing heavy damage to his car. Hollingsworth
continued to lead followed by Kendal McPhail. Jerry Cassano moved up to third
then battled wheel to wheel with McPhail for second. Then Cassano set his
sights on the leader and worked at Hollingsworth till he finally took the
lead and went on to take the win followed by Hollingsworth, McPhail, and Dale
Aucoin and Doyle Bratton crossed the line side by side for fourth and fifth.
Heat wins went to Gregg Hollingsworth, Greg Freeman and Kendall McPhail.
Jimmy Stephens took all the marbles winning heat and feature for Pure
stock. Jamie Blades chased Stephens the entire race but was unable to make
the pass and snatch the lead. Stephens took the win, Blades second, Leonard
Barrileaux third, Chad Boyd fourth and rounding out the top five was Randy
Kerry Vicknair and Jason Holland took the street stock heat wins. The
feature ran caution free with Vicknair leading the way every lap followed by
Jason Holland, Jamie Hamilton, Tyrone Taylor and Louie Morales.
Billy Gordon and Joey Humphreys took top honors in super stock heats.
Gordon and Humphreys drag raced wheel to wheel till they touched and
Humphreys spun, but the yellow was called on the four car pile up in two.
This time Gordon and Wilson Voisin ran wheel to wheel for the lead. Another
pile up brought out the yellow again. Chad Posten moved into the lead while
behind him Gordon and Humphreys made Johnny Breeland the meat in the sandwich
for second. Chad Posten took the win followed by Joey Humphreys, and Billy
22 Wing outlaws started the feature race. Lane Whittington took the lead
on the start, but it wasn't long and Kelly Angelette blasted past for the
lead. Off turn four Michael Dupuy tried to get third from Butch David but
couldn't. Angelette spun in two and had to go back to the rear on the start.
Whittington took over as leader and led the rest of the way to score the win
followed by Dupuy, David, Mike Herrington, Herman Carrier, Scott Wimberly,
and Glynn LaBlanc.
