I.M.C.A. Late Model awards added to
Holley contingency program
VINTON, Iowa (Jan. 21) - Holley Performance Products will expand its contingency awards pro-gram with I.M.C.A. again this season, adding Late Models to the mix in 2003.
The national I.M.C.A. Sunoco Late Model rookie of the year and champions of both the Deery Brothers Summer Se-ries and the Friesen Chevrolet Chal-lenge Series will receive Holley 390 cfm carburetors.
"Just like our Stock Car division, our Late Model division also has a Holley carburetor requirement and we wanted to design a pro-gram to give something back to those drivers as well," I.M.C.A. Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. "Adding the Friesen Series also provides contingencies where there previously were none."
Late Model drivers will also receive Holley heat race winner decals, as again will Modified and Stock Car drivers who win heat races during regular weekly programs at their local track.
Another addition sees a Holley 350 cfm carburetor going to top first-year driv-ers in both Stock Car regions instead of just to the national rookie of the year.
Champions, fifth and 10th-place finishers in the Northern and Southern Stock Car regions will re-ceive the same model car-buretor.
No change is made in the Holley HP carburetor contingency program for I.M.C.A. Sunoco Modi-fieds, with $700 in cash or product certificates going to the top three eligible drivers in each of the seven regions. That breaks down to $350 for first, $250 for second and $100 for third.
Modified drivers must return the contingency sign-up form included in their decal packet by Aug. 1.
Drivers in all three divi-sions must compete with Holley HP carburetors to be eligible for year-end contingencies. They must also display two Holley Performance Products de-cals on their race cars and win at least one heat race during the season.
Located in Bowling Green, Ky., Holley manu-factures a variety of prod-ucts for circle track racers, including complete ignition sys-tems, carbure-tors, in-take manifolds, fuel pumps and individual components. The company's 350 cfm carbu-retor is re-quired for all I.M.C.A. Sunoco Stock Cars

"Holley is an organiza-tion that works closely with I.M.C.A. for the benefit of our drivers. Year after year, they continue to be recep-tive to new ways to con-tribute to the racing pro-gram of many I.M.C.A. racers," Yoder said. "Holley is a class organiza-tion from top to bottom."
