Seventh Southern Challenge at Abilene Speedway Oct. 18-20
ABILENE, Texas - Abilene Speedway's seventh an-nual Southern Challenge runs Friday through Sunday, Oct. 18-20, with a total purse of $65,000.
I.M.C.A. Sunoco Modifieds will race for $3,000 to win, with a minimum of $750 paid to start the main event and $500 to start in the "B."
Last-chance qualifiers get $125 and all non-qualifiers receive $100.
Top prize for the I.M.C.A. Sunoco Stock Cars is $2,000, with a minimum of $500 going to every car in the feature and $300 to start the "B."
I.M.C.A. Hobby Stocks race for $1,000 to win, $250 to start and $150 for the "B." Feature events for all three di-visions will be 30 laps.
Drivers can enter in one division only. Sponsors of the Southern Challenge are Smiley's Racing Products and Candor Racing.
