Petersen Aluminum contingency awards
go to Deery Series champion, top rookie
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. (June 19) – A new I.M.C.A. sponsor brings a unique contingency award program to the Deery Brothers Summer Series this season.
Petersen Aluminum of Elk Grove Village, Ill., will award 10 sheets of aluminum to the champion and to the rookie of the year in the series for I.M.C.A. Sunoco Late Models.
Both awards will be redeemable through Petersen.
“Petersen Aluminum is a recognizable name in the Late Model racing world, and we are pleased to have them as a new sponsor with the Deery Brothers Summer Series,” I.M.C.A. Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “It is always nice to reward newcomers to the series and our rookie of the year will certainly benefit from Petersen’s involvement.”
Founded in 1965, the Chicago-based company manufactures and sells painted aluminum and mill finish aluminum sheets, extrusions and stainless steel.
“We sell to people who make race car bodies and trailers,” said Petersen’s Mike Manno. “We’ve been working with the race car business since the 1980s and we have quite a few customers in the Iowa-Illinois base.”
