BUTLER MOTOR SPEEDWAY READY FOR THE 2002 SEASON

With new clay laid Butler Motor Speedway is ready for the 2002-racing season, however Mother Nature did not cooperate forcing the track to be closed April 20 and April 27. May 4 and 5 promises to be action packed, with the regular racing season starting on Saturday with Sprints, Late Models and Street Stocks. Sunday Butler will host the 200 lap Enduro that will pay $7000 to the winner (based upon 100 cars). This event (which was scheduled for April 21) pulls drivers from all over the Midwest, who enjoy the challenge of the high banked track with 31degree banks in the turns. Butler Motor Speedway also offers very reasonable camping for those wishing to join in on these action packed weekends.

The fastest dirt track in Quincy Michigan will host three 200 lap Enduros on the following dates May 26th, June 30th and July 28th. Where the purse for each night will be $7000 if 100 cars register for each night. On September 1st the 5th and Final Enduro Points Championship Auto Value Bumper to Bumper race will be held.

This is also a very special year for Butler Motor Speedway, it will be celebrating its 50th year anniversary. Joe and Sandy Dorer would like to see or hear from Butler racers, sponsors and racing fans from the past. June 29th will be a very special day at Butler, Freeburn & Old Timers Day, stop by to see the OLD RACE CARS and OLD PHOTOS as well as SPEEDO the clown and MARFC. Quincy Activities Group Arts and Craft show 9:00 am 4:00pm, finish off the night with the Butler Millennium Jet Express Street Stock Special with $2200 to win and $200 to start.

Not only will you see Fireworks in the night sky on July 4 you will also see fireworks on the high banked oval dirt track as well. Where else could you go to get 2 great shows? Remember Butler Motor Speedway is a great place to camp. They offer nature trails, a motorcross track, as well as an on site dumping station.
