This post is a 'copy and paste' from that other forum thing that is down more than it is up....hope it helps....Hey Gang, As I have not been able to log on as of late I thought I'd post an update on how things are going with the Challenge. I'll post the schedule first as of now.
Union County......Aug. 2nd..Series opener
LawrenceBurg???? Aug. 3rd..
How bout it Tom. You guys in or out?
Terre Haute.......Aug. 6th..Nascar Night
North Vernon......Aug. 7th
Thunder Valley....Aug. 8th
Chandler.????.....Aug. 9th
Lincoln Park
Speedway........Aug.10th
GAS-City..........Aug.16th
Paragon...........Aug.17th
Bunker-Hill.......Aug.18th..."Finale"
Thats what I have for now guys and gals. Tom is suppose to get back with me about the Burg. His call. I have not talked in person with Chandler but I got word from Bob Memmer of UMP that Chandler wanted in if Bloomington opted out. With 10 races on tap in 17 days, this series will Challenge us all. I hope that many of you can race with us for part or all of the series. Total Purse as of now is just short of 50,000 dollars. Thats in cash. I am currently working on a few things that will add some special prises to the mix as well. I also have sent a new letter to Hoosier in another attempt at gaining there support. If anyone has someone else that they feel I should contact, please let me know and I will do so.
I really would like to get AFCO involved in some way as I feel next to Hoosier they have the most to gain out of this. That and they are an Indiana Co. Be a shame if they weren't part of the Biggest Series on Dirt in Indiana in 2002. Its up to us now gang. If this succeeds it will be because of all of us, not one. To succeed we need to run good clean shows, make the tracks a proffit and more than that we need to do all we can to get fans out to the races. To make them feel special and to make them want to follow us. I really believe that the only series on Dirt in Indiana this year that will be bigger and have more success is Indiana Sprint Week. They will be Bigger this year gang, This Year. They had best do there homework before next season rolls around. If that sounds crazy to you then remember how this all started in Janurary. Almost "NO ONE" thought we could put this togather. "NO ONE" give us a chance at getting Paragon on the schedule. "NO ONE" thought UMP would come on board and support us."NO ONE" thinks HOOSIER will give us any help either but I had to try again...Last week I was on two radio shows talking about the series. I now have the schedule posted on www.tracksidereview.com...under Gas-City. On www.russrace.com and I am currently working at geting things posted on Stephs site at www.teamrocko.com go to the ump section. And on our big buddy www.DOLaycock.com...also soon on www.howboutcha.com Thanks gang, all of you. We had hopes and still do of putting togather a TV show that will feature the series. That is on hold but we are planing on filming a commercial for the series and hope to get it out to all the tracks..Again if anyone has an idea, I'll listen. If anyone has someone who might want to sponsor something like a fast Qualifer for just one track, I'll listen. We really don't need a lot from anyone, just a little from several different sourses will help make this even bigger.....I Hope to have HOOSIER out at the tracks to help with tire teck and support. Like to have AFCO and others in on that as well. That may not be feasiable at all the tracks but it should work at a few. I'm sure LPS would help us with that for instance and I'm sure others will too...If you plan to run the series all or in part, I would like to have a picture of your car if possiable. oN track or off...There will be some T-Shirts printed with the WolfPack Challenge on them listing all the tracks and dates and a few of the teams competeing may get on these as well. That I will have limited input on but I can make suggestions. I'm sure one of those shirts will have Jimmy Owens on the front and I have no idea weather Owens is interested in the series or not...I hope to have people on the shirts that are planing to run the show..Well thats more than enough for now gang...Thanks again for all your support....Contact me anytime here or e-mail me at bwolfe@ccrtc.com.
so how bout it gang....wanna race..Wolfe-e
