"Spring BreakOut 20" This Saturday Night at Columbus Speedway

Columbus, Mississippi-Round 2 of the Columbus Speedway Weekly Racing Series
will by highlighted this Saturday night with the Street Stock "Spring
BreakOut 20" Championship event. The Full Racing Program will have all
divisions also in action including the Super Late Model, Mississippi
Modifieds and all other local divisions.

The Columbus Speedway Street Stock division typically produces some of the
best racing in the country as the evenly matched cars and talented drivers
often battle three wide for position virtually all night long. The number of
entrants for the event should approach at least thirty competitors that will
be vying for a starting position in the twenty four-car main event starting
field. The Street Stock cars will utilize the Columbus Speedway Championship
event format which includes single lap Pole Qualifying, B-Main(s) if
required, driver introductions, and a 20 lap Main event to be run early in
the program. The region's top Street Stock drivers are expected to be on
hand including Danny Gable, Harold Trimm, Hollywood Richardson, Marvin
Beard, Scott Stripling, TK King, Jimmy Rogers, Jonathan Edwards, Richard
West plus many more. The last Championship event for the Street Stock
division during the 2001 season had thirty-six entrants on hand for the
event that literally had the crowd on its feet for the duration of the event
due to the excitement. The events this Saturday night should be no less
exciting, especially with the added banking and blazing speeds now present
at the high banked Columbus Speedway.

Grandstand gates open at 5pm with the driver's meeting at 5:30; practice at
6pm; and racing at 7pm. Adult admission is $10 with children under 11
