LOTS OF RACING STILL LEFT AT HAGERSTOWN SPEEDWAY IN SEPTEMBER

HAGERSTOWN, MD - There is still plenty of action left at the Hagerstown
Speedway as the season enters the final weeks of racing. The Ronnie
McBee/Ron "Speedy" Hays Memorial for the ITSI late models will kick off
the month of September on Saturday night, September 1st. The 44-lap
memorial will carry an increase in purse and double points. Also on the
program will be the Hoosier Tires/Mid-Atlantic late model sportsman,
Ernie's Salvage Yard pure stocks and the 4-cyl pure stocks. Race time is
7 P.M. with gates opening at 5 P.M.

Saturday night, September 8th, is a night you don't want to miss when
the amateur drivers go 100-laps in the Championship Enduro Classic with
$800 going to the winner. Then if that isn't enough excitement, the
Tommy Thompson Memorial Demo Derby will be with $500 going to the driver
of the last car running. Entries are being accepted for both events. The
action starts at 7 P.M. with gates opening at 5 P.M.

It will be "Fan Appreciation" Night on Saturday night, August 15th.
Admission is only $6.00 with children under 12 FREE. It will be the
final point race of the year for all four divisions as the year long
championship battles come to an end.

The following weekend, Hagerstown will swing into action on Friday and
Saturday nights, September 21st and 22nd for the 27th running of the
Turbo Blue Hub-City National 150. For the first time since the inaugural
event, the Hub-City National Open will be under the lights. On Friday
night, time trials and qualifying heats will determine the starting
field for the ITSI late models with qualifying heat events for the open
competition semi-lates/late model sportsman, pure stocks and 4-cyl pure
stocks. On Saturday night, consolation events for all four divisions
will set the field for the feature events. The Hub-City National 150
will finish out the program with $10,000 going to the winner of the
longest race for the late models. Gates will open at 5 P.M. with racing
at 7 P.M. each night.
