MOTHER NATURE CLAIMS VICTORY AT GASPORT SPEEDWAY

Despite 4 Regular divisions a 4 Cylinder Mini Demolition, a
Women Are Racing event, Micro Sprints and Dwarf Cars, Mother Nature
claimed the victory at Gasport Speedway Sunday Night. The rain fell hard
enough to call the program. All heats were completed except the the
Sportsman final qualifier which will lead off the season finale on
September 2nd. The heat winners were: Mini Stocks, Jamie Gilbert and
Alex Wheeldon. Street Stocks, Nick Micallef, Chris Crawford, and Gord
Edwards. Billy Bleich claimed the Pro Stock heat and Randy Chrysler took
the Sportsman qualifier.
Pit Notes: Up next on September 2nd will be the scheduled August
26th rained out feature and the regularly scheduled Al "Pops" Winger
Memorial Points Championships in the 4 main classes so double features
will be run. Rain checks will not be honored as all but 1 heat was
completed on the Aug. 26th show. A Street Stock Non Winners Classic will
be part of the program along with Autograph Night as the fans will be
able to meet, greet and congradulate the favorite drivers during
intermission. Please Note: With double features, Dwarf Cars, Micro
Sprints and Demo Derby drivers should call Gasport at (905)834-4797 or
visit Gasport on the internet at: www.gasportspeedway.com and check the
availability for openings in the program for Sept 2nd.
The Kacey Lynn Fundraiser last week collected over $1100.00. It
was thru donations of the fans and drivers. Randy Chrysler and Mark
Loveland were large contributors.
