21st Annual Jim Dunn Memorial Dirt Track World Championship
Schedule of Events for October 21st and 22nd
(St.Marys, WV) The schedule of events for the 21st Annual Jim Dunn Memorial
Dirt Track World Championship includes two days of action, excitement and
entertainment. The absolute best in the dirt racing business, fans and
racers alike will gather together at the Legendary Pennsboro Speedway on
October 20th and 21st. All will come to rekindle the "magic of the DTWC at
Pennsboro" and honor Jim Dunn, the first ever "Hero of the DTWC."
On Saturday October 20th, Super Late Model Technical Inspection begins at
daybreak. The spectator gates will open at 9:00am. Hot Laps for the Super
Late Models start at 11:00am, Street Stock Hot Laps will follow. Time
Trials are scheduled to start at 1:00pm. Six 20-lap heat races for the
Super Late Models will follow Time Trials. Then the Street Stocks will run
their 8-lap heat events. The events on Saturday will peak with live music
filling the "Boro" as the party begins. The air will be filled with the
mouth-watering aroma of the Ox roasting in the pit and from the country
style BBQ cooking on the spit.
On Sunday October 21st the spectator gates will open at 9:00am. Hot Laps
are at 12:30. Racing begins at 1:00pm with the Super late Model Heat
winners 6-lap dash. Next, the 12-lap B-mains for the Street Stocks.
Followed by the 3 20-lap Super Late Model B-mains. The Street Stock $2,000
to win $200 to start, 25 lap feature is next. Then it is time for the "one
that started it all" back at its birthplace in 2001, the $50,000 to Win,
$2,000 to start, 21st Annual Jim Dunn Memorial Dirt Track World
Advance tickets and advance pit passes are now available. Keeping with the
20-year tradition of affordable pricing, General Admission and Pit Pass
prices remain the same as in the past. Advance General Admission tickets
and Pit Passes are available now through October 10, 2001. Fans and drivers
purchasing tickets in advance will enjoy saving $10 per ticket, a time
honored tradition. Advance 2-day General Admission is $35 and Advance Pit
Passes are $45 each. Children 6-11 are $10 and children under 6 are FREE.
All tickets are sold on a first come basis. Advance tickets can be
purchased by Money Order or Cashiers Check only. No Personal Checks. Make
payable to D.T.W.C. Please enclose a self addressed stamped envelope to
ensure speedy and prompt service.
Super Late Models and Street Stocks may pre-enter their racecars now through
October 10, 2001. The Super Late Model pre-entry fee is $100, after October
10th it will be $200. The Street Stock pre-entry fee is $25 with October 10
being the deadline for pre-entry savings. Racers pre-entering their car
must include the following information with their cashiers check or money
order; designate Late Model or Street Stock, the drivers name, the Car #,
the Car color, Street Address, City or Town, State, Zip Code and Phone
Number. No Personal Checks.
Advance General Admission tickets and Pit Passes and racecar pre-entries may
only be purchased via mail at this time. Please remember to enclose a self
addressed stamped envelope. Mail Advance Ticket orders and Racecar
