CHRIS FRANCIS MEMORIAL FUND Established To Benefit Race Teams
Knoxville, TN --- The CHRIS FRANCIS MEMORIAL FUND has been established in honor and memory of Chris Francis, Co-owner and Crew Chief of Steve Francis Motorsports, who suddenly passed away August 20, 2001. The CHRIS FRANCIS MEMORIAL FUND is a new benevolent organization that will assist in the financial needs of drivers, crew members and family members in times of injury, illness or other unfortunate circumstances. It will be administered by Bill & Debbie Reed, founders and proponents of the DIRT RACING OUTREACH ministry.
In recent months Chris Francis spoke of the need for such a benevolent fund and in his memory and honor, and with the support, encouragement and blessings of the Francis family, the CHRIS FRANCIS MEMORIAL FUND has been established.
A fund-raiser will be held at the upcoming WORLD 100 at Eldora Speedway on September 7 & 8. A silent auction will be held with donated items from race teams all across the country. A display will be set up with all of the donated items so race fans can bid on items of their choosing. All proceeds will go into the CHRIS FRANCIS MEMORIAL FUND.
Race fans wishing to contribute to the CHRIS FRANCIS MEMORIAL FUND can send a check to: Chris Francis Memorial Fund, 4920 Raccoon Valley Road, Knoxville, TN 37938. Those wishing to contribute with a credit card can call: 865-922-1401.
