EXTREME WEATHER FORCES SOME LATE SEASON SCHEDULE AJUSTMENTS AT EAST WINDSOR
SPEEDWAY

EAST WINDSOR, N.J. ~ The unpredictable weather that has been a major part of
the 2001 auto racing season in New Jersey has forced the management and
officials to do some schedule juggling for the final weeks of the season at
the East Windsor Speedway.

This Friday night (August 17) will see the Modifieds racing in a 25-lap
main event, the Sportsman cars battling in a 20-lapper and the Street Stocks
in a 15-lapper as "Bill Nichols Memorial Night" action is presented at 7:30
p.m. This special night, honoring the memory of the well-respected safety
crew leader, was rained out earlier this season.

The annual "**** Craig's Banner Night" festivities have now been set for
Friday night, August 24. On this night, the fans and their artistic creations
will join the Modified, Sportsman and Street Stock racers in the spotlight.

On August 31, the Modifieds get top billing in the "Fan Favorite Twin
20's." In addition to the pair of Modified main events, the Sportsman and
Street Stock cars will also be on the 7:30 p.m. agenda.

September 7 action will be of the "Run What Ya Brung" variety for the
Modifieds, Sportsman and Street Stock cars. This night will also serve as the
"Len Sammons Memorial Night." The following Friday evening, September 14,
will see the Modifieds compete in a 25-lap main event, while the Sportsman
cars race in a 20-lapper and the Street Stocks battle in a 15-lap main event.

The point races in all three divisions will then be decided on September
21 with the running of the annual "Hoosier Tire 50" for the Modifieds. The
Sportsman and Street Stock cars will also be an important part of this 7:30
p.m. program.

The 2001 campaign is then scheduled to conclude on Friday night,
September 28, with "Run What Ya Brung" action slated for all four divisions.

Located just minutes from Exit 8 of the New Jersey Turnpike on Airport
Road, the East Windsor Speedway is easy to get to from anywhere. For more
