UDTRA JULY 3 DATE CHANGE GOES TO MUSKINGUM COUNTY SPEEDWAY
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
WOODSTOCK, GA - United Dirt Track Racing Association officials have
announced a change of venue for the UDTRA Pro DirtCar Series date on July
to Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, OH. The 4/10-mile clay oval
will host the UDTRA Pro DirtCar Series for a 50-lap $10,000-to-win main
The UDTRA Pro DirtCar Series event on July 3 was originally scheduled for
Cannonball Motor Speedway in St. Clairsville, OH, but officials at that
track unexpectedly cancelled the event on Monday afternoon.
"We regret that the promoter at Cannonball Motor Speedway cancelled their
event just two weeks prior to the race," UDTRA President Mike Swims said.
"But at the same time, we are delighted that Ron Moran at Muskingum County
Speedway has stepped up to the plate on short notice to give the Eastern
Ohio race fans an opportunity to see America's Favorite Show On Dirt. We
believe they will respond and reward his efforts to put on this race."
The Muskingum County Speedway race on July 3 will open a three-race swing
for the UDTRA Pro DirtCar Series through Ohio. Raceway 7 in Conneaut, OH
will present a two-day 100-lap $20,000-to-win main event on July 5-6, and
Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, OH will host the UDTRA Pro DirtCar Series
on July 7 with a 50-lap $10,000-to-win main event.
