Arlington, Tulsa host National Modified Series events
VINTON, Iowa (June 8) - Two I.M.C.A. National Modified Series events are coming up next week, at the Arlington, Minn., Raceway and at Tulsa, Okla., Speedway.
The Tuesday, June 12 Lions Club program at Arlington will be paired with the Midwest Motorsports Best of the Midwest Series for I.M.C.A. Sunoco Stock Cars. Then Tulsa hosts a two-day show on Friday and Saturday, June 15 and 16.
At Arlington, the main event pays $1,000 to win and a minimum of $125 to make the 20-car feature. Pit gates will open at 4 p.m., hot laps are at 6 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.
Rounding out the race card that evening are the I.MC.A.-sanctioned Hobby Stocks.
The National Modified Series feature at Tulsa pays $2,000 to win and at least $200 to start.
Pit gates open at 5 p.m. Friday and at 4 p.m. on Saturday. Racing starts at 7:30 p.m. both evenings.
Gregg Buker of North Platte, Neb., was the series points leader after four events. The fifth race on the schedule is to-night (Friday) at Hartford, Mich., Speedway Park
