SIX LUCKY FANS TO GET THE RIDE OF A LIFETIME AT BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

BRISTOL, TN - Officials at Bristol Motor Speedway have announced a half
dozen dirt late model fans will win "The Lap of a Lifetime" during a special
promotion for the Battle of Bristol, presented by Free Service Tire and
Advance Auto Parts.

Six lucky fans will be selected to take race car rides around Bristol Motor
Speedway during the UDTRA Pro DirtCar Series "Battle of Bristol," presented
by Free Service Tire and Advance Auto Parts May 31-June 2.

Fans who purchase advance tickets before 5 p.m. on Memorial Day (May 28)
will be entered to win rides with 1996 UDTRA Champion Freddy Smith or Skip
Arp in a two-seat Pro DirtCar late model car. Fans who already purchased
tickets to the "Battle of Bristol" already are entered. Participants must
be 18 or older to win and must sign a liability waiver. Other restrictions
apply.

The names of the winners will be posted on www.bristolmotorspeedway.com
by 5
p.m. Tuesday, May 29, and the rides will be given between races during the
three "Battle of Bristol" nights.

Fans automatically increase their chances by purchasing multiple tickets
and
multiple nights. For example, a fan purchasing two Saturday night tickets
will be entered twice for a ride on Saturday night, June 2. A fan purchasing
10 3-day tickets would be entered 10 times for all three
nights.

The UDTRA show at Bristol opens Wednesday, May 30 with qualifying. The
top
144 qualifiers, plus any drivers in the top 25 of the Pro DirtCars point
standings will advance. The odd qualifiers will compete in a full racing
program Thursday that includes a 30-lap, $10,000-to-win main event, and
the
even qualifiers will compete Friday in a 30-lap, $10,00-to-win feature.

The top 72 from Thursday and Friday will advance to Saturday's Battle of
Bristol, a 60-lap feature paying $20,000 to win. Two fans each night will
take a lap around Bristol Motor Speedway on Thursday, Friday and Saturday
nights in a special two-seat race car.

"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our fans," Bristol Motor
Speedway Director of Communications Wayne Estes said. "Before now, fans
could ride only in NASCAR-type driving school cars at Bristol Motor
Speedway. This is the first time we have been able to give some lucky dirt
fans a chance to experience Bristol from the seat of a UDTRA-type Pro
DirtCar."

The special two-seat race cars are used in the Freddy & Skip's Driving
School, based at Atomic Speedway in Knoxville, Tenn. The Freddy & Skip
Driving School offers one-day (classroom only) and two-day (classing and
on-track teaching) for late model dirt drivers. The next school is
scheduled for June 12-13. For more information, go to www.freddysmith.com
or www.skiparp.com.
Tickets are available online at www.bristoltix.com or by calling
423-764-1161 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tickets also are
available at the Bristol Motor Speedway ticket office.
There is no cash value for the prizes in this promotion.
